Individual and Family Memberships

The OEC is an incorporated not-for-profit organisation. As a community-managed, volunteer-run facility your membership payment provides crucial funds to support our purpose:

“To deliver an ongoing program that fosters and showcases Wood Design, Visual Arts and Performing Arts to Orbost, surrounding communities and visitors to the Far East Gippsland area.”

Any person who supports our purpose is eligible to complete a membership application form*. Payment of the membership fee is required upon application.

All members have the right to:

  • Vote at general meetings,

  • Receive notice of general meeting and special resolutions in timeframes set by the Model Rules,

  • Submit agenda items for general meetings,

  • Attend and be heard at general meetings,

  • Have access to the minutes of general meetings and other related documents,

  • Inspect the register of members.

Refer to “Model rules for an incorporated association” for more information.

Memberships are for the whole financial year (due for renewal by 1 July), there is no pro rata amount to account for months passed, but you can rest easy knowing every cent is going to supporting arts and culture activities.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which the OEC sits. We celebrate the long history of art inherent in the cultures of the Gunaikurnai, Bidwell and Monero peoples, and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
